FELLOW SOUTH AFRICANS

South Africa stands at a defining moment in its history.

Millions of our people are burdened by the highest cost of living for the Black majority, the biggest inequality in the world, unprecedented high levels of crime and corruption, failing public services, the worst economic decline, the fastest growing instability, porous border and the most vulnerable national security.

We as the citizens strongly believe that the institutions established to protect and advance our interests as the people of this country have failed to keep to their constitutional obligations.

We, the undersigned, refuse to surrender our country to dysfunction, corruption, criminality, mediocrity and political indifference.

We believe that sovereign power ultimately belongs to the people and that citizens have both the right and the responsibility to organize peacefully, lawfully and democratically to shape the future of their nation.

We therefore call upon patriotic South Africans, regardless of race, language, religion, political affiliation or social status, to unite behind a national process aimed at reclaiming and restoring our country.

OUR PROPOSALS
We support the initiation of an inclusive national summit to decide on the establishment of the following:

1. A Transitional National Administration
A democratically mandated and time-bound Transitional National Administration, drawn from the finest talents and consciences of our nation, entrusted with the historic responsibility of stabilising the State, dismantling systems of dysfunction and corruption, restoring the dignity and effectiveness of public institutions, implementing nationally agreed reforms, and steering our country through a carefully managed process of national reclamation and restoration towards a just, accountable, prosperous and united future.

2. A People's Constitutional Committee
A representative People's Constitutional Committee, comprising respected South Africans drawn from all linguistic and cultural communities of our nation, entrusted with the historic responsibility of facilitating an inclusive, transparent and nationwide consultative process through which citizens shall freely deliberate, define and proclaim the values, aspirations, governing principles and institutional arrangements they wish to pass on to future generations and to see embodied in a people driven constitutional order founded upon justice, accountability, unity, human dignity and the sovereignty of the people.

3. An Interim National Governance Committee
A representative Interim National Governance Committee, comprising distinguished and respected South Africans drawn from diverse sectors of society, entrusted with the solemn responsibility of coordinating, overseeing and facilitating the orderly implementation of recommendations and resolutions arising from the national consultative process, and of translating the collective aspirations of the people into practical governance frameworks, institutional arrangements and administrative systems capable of giving effect to a patriotic, accountable, efficient and people-centered State.

DISCLAIMER
This national renewal process shall be guided by men and women whose hands are untainted by corruption, state capture, cronyism, abuse of office and deliberate acts that have undermined the prosperity, security and dignity of our nation. The task of rebuilding South Africa cannot be entrusted to those who participated in, benefited from, or knowingly enabled its decline. It must be entrusted to citizens of unquestionable integrity, competence and patriotism, committed solely to the restoration and advancement of the common good of our country.

OUR COMMITMENT
We solemnly commit ourselves to pursuing these objectives exclusively through peaceful, lawful, democratic and participatory means, firmly believing that lasting reclamation and restoration can only be achieved through the collective will, consent and active involvement of the us people of South Africa.

We believe that South Africans possess the wisdom, courage, resilience and patriotism required to reclaim their nation, restore the integrity of its institutions, and build a State that is just, accountable, prosperous, secure and genuinely responsive to the needs, aspirations and dignity of all its citizens.

History teaches us that nations are not condemned to perpetual decline. Political systems do not own monopoly over good governance. Imposed constitutions never live long. Institutions can be rebuilt to serve the people. Societies can rediscover their purpose and redefine their destiny when ordinary citizens resolve to act with determination, unity and an unwavering commitment to the common good.

There are models of shining examples across the world. China, Russia, Germany, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, Ireland, Chile, etc. these are countries whose nations refused to be defined by crime, corruption, dysfunctionality or any of their challenges.

We as South Africa, we as a Nation have no excuse to reclaim and restore our country. Our patriotism and never dying attitude is challenging us to look those who have destroyed our country in the eye and put them in their place.

It is time we took our birthright position and do good for our country. We must hand over a much better country to the next generation.

South Africa does not belong to political parties, powerful elites, special interests, privileged few or any foreign power.

South Africa belongs to us its people.

Its future must be determined by us its people.

Fellow South Africans, if you share our conviction that our nation deserves better than what we are currently subjected to,

If you share our conviction that our nation deserves accountability, competent governance and a new social compact founded upon justice, integrity and service to the people,

Do not play the wait and see game, that game is the reason why our country is captured by criminals, the corrupt among us and exploited by the elites.

We call upon South Africans of integrity—workers, entrepreneurs, professionals, academics, traditional leaders, faith communities, civil society activists, youth, veterans, and ordinary citizens—to step forward, raise their hands, and make themselves available to serve in this national effort. Reclaiming and restoring our country is not the responsibility of others. It is our responsibility. The future will not be secured by spectators, but by citizens prepared to participate, contribute, and lead.
