Mandate Cameras in Florida Public Schools

Mandate Cameras in Florida Public Schools
The Issue
My daughter's firsthand experience sparked my dedication towards this cause. After being forced to withdraw her from school due to unexplained bruises and unsaid events transpiring on public school ground, I realized the gravity of the situation. As a long term Substitute teacher, witnessing my own daughter’s teacher hit a student of mine, has furthered solidified my decision to create this petition.
Diverse children possessing distinctive skills and abilities populate the classrooms across the nation. These precious learners include children more prone to mistreatment, neglect, and abuse like those on the autism spectrum, non-speaking children, children with expressive-receptive disorders, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, visually impaired, paraplegic children, and children with aphasia, and so many more.
Given the vulnerabilities and individual needs they possess, it's crucial for our education system to incorporate better protective measures. Implementing live feed cameras in all classrooms and common areas of public schools is an essential step towards ensuring a safer environment, not only for the vulnerable but for all children.
Live Feed Cameras can serve as a proactive tool to prevent any potential mistreatment or incidents that violate the terms of safety, dignity, and respect of our children. Moreover, it would elucidate any miscommunications and misunderstandings, especially when dealing with kids who might not express themselves traditionally.
Our public schools should not only be responsible for teaching our kids but also ensuring their safety during their learning journey. By making live feed cameras a mandatory requirement, we can move a step closer to ensuring the safety and well-being of our treasured learners and future leaders.
It's not just about safeguarding our kids; it's about securing the soul of our education system. Help us protect all students by advocating for the mandatory implementation of live feed cameras in public school classrooms and common areas. Please sign this petition.
