The Issue

The recent destruction and closure our beloved shul has left our community shocked and heartbroken. This unfortunate incident is a direct result of the unclear management of the property of 770.

The ongoing civil court case has only served to exacerbate tensions and drain funds without providing any solutions. In the meantime, we as a community, both local to CH and indeed the international Chabad community, have been suffering from the constant low level hefkarus in 770, a hefkerus which was on full display this week. We are tired of seeing the beating heart of Lubavitch, being subjected to the whims of the most violent in our community, simply due to the vacuum left by the various parties vying for control.

We believe that the best way forward is for the relevent parties to work out a solution through binding arbitration - a method proven to be effective in resolving disputes fairly and efficiently.

We are calling on all parties involved in the dispute over 770 to leave civil court proceedings behind and commit themselves fully to solving this issue via binding arbitration. This approach will ensure an expedited resolution while minimizing further damage to our community.

It's time for us all - regardless of personal affiliations or beliefs - to come together for the greater good of Lubavitch and for the honor of the Rebbe. Let us restore peace within our community by finding an amicable solution through binding arbitration.

Please sign this petition if you agree that it's time for change – it’s time for healing – it’s time we put our community first.
