Recently relocated to Beebe, AR. I have always been surrounded by animals. They bring joy, love, and companionship into our lives, and I believe they all deserve a safe place to call home. It breaks my heart to think of any animal left wandering the streets, vulnerable to harm or neglect. This is why I am urging a change in how our local shelter operates.

Currently, due to limited capacity and resources, the Beebe Animal Shelter cannot take in every animal in need. This leaves many animals at risk, without shelter or care. We need a solution that ensures no animal in our community goes without assistance.

Our goal is to require the Beebe Animal Shelter to accept all animals that require sanctuary, regardless of circumstances. To support this initiative, we propose that the local government provides additional funding and resources to expand the shelter's capacity and facilities. By increasing funding, we can improve infrastructure, hire more staff, and provide necessary medical care, ensuring a safe haven for every animal.

The importance of this change is emphasized by alarming state statistics: in Arkansas, thousands of animals are euthanized annually due to lack of space in shelters. If we can expand our local facilities, we can prevent many from facing this grim fate and give them a chance at a better life.
