I have always believed that peace in our world originates from the solidity of relationships between nations. In the face of rising disputes, and the marked increase in worldwide tension, it has become clearer than ever that the strength of alliances between nations is a core factor in preventing conflicts and enhancing a nation's defense capability.

According to the Global Peace Index (GPI), there has been a noticeable degradation in global peacefulness over the past decade, with an estimated economic impact of conflict reaching a shocking $14.5 trillion in 2019. Such costly conflicts could be prevented, or at least greatly reduced, by fortifying border alliances and clamping down on simmering tensions.

Recognizing this worrying trend and the pivotal role of inter-nation relationships, we are urging lawmakers and policymakers across the globe to prioritize and reinforce alliances between borders. This includes diplomatic cooperation, information sharing, better defense coordination, and strategies that can foster mutual respect and understanding.

By doing this, not only can we significantly enhance our collective defense capability, but can also pave the way towards a world where peace is not an exception, but the standard. I implore you as concerned citizens of the world to join me in this plea for peace and stability, borne out of my personal belief that conflicts begin and end with the state of alliances between nations.
