The issue at hand concerns the reporting of crimes committed by transgender individuals and their housing within prison systems. Currently, these are often recorded based on the individual's identified gender rather than their biological sex. This practice can skew crime statistics and potentially lead to inappropriate prison housing.

We propose that all crimes committed by transgender individuals should be logged according to their biological sex at birth. Additionally, these individuals should be housed in prisons corresponding with their biological sex for safety reasons.
