That's absolutely amazing!

This afternoon I thought - yep that's definitely enough signatures to get a response from Manchester United!

I called their switchboard on +44 161 676 7770 but they said they couldn't pass me on to the relevant department.

So I will email them at  brandprotection@manutd.co.uk, feedback@manutd.co.uk, and ir@manutd.co.uk

Footballing ethics is VERY newsworthy at the moment, so I will Cc the Manchester Evening News, the Guardian and the Independent using these email addresses: newsdesk@men-news.co.uk national@theguardian.com newsdesk@independent.co.uk

They've ignored my past emails about this, so I would love it if you would take some time to call or email Manchester United as well. They can't ignore us all! Below is a template you can copy for your own emails:

Good afternoon,

I am writing because I am concerned about Manchester United's relationship with CB Bank in Myanmar, who donated money to the military to commit genocide against the Rohingya. The same military who have now staged a coup and are murdering unarmed civilians.

I am not alone, this petition https://www.change.org/p/manchester-united-ask-manchester-united-to-cut-ties-with-genocide-in-myanmar/u/new?source_location=petition_manage_send_update has over 19,500 signatures and counting.

I am hoping to see a strong statement of support from the club in coming days.

Please see this ethical consumer article for more details:

I look forward to hearing from you,
