Manchester Pride has undoubtably contributed a great deal over the years to the LGBTQ+ community, however the organisation has caused anger and controversy in the LGBTQ+ community for some years, not least for their sketchy accounts but more the actions of the CEO Mark Fletcher. 

The final nail in the coffin to the community is the decision to cut the vital funding to the George House Trust (GHT) AND to the LGBT Foundation for the financing of the condom packs, a campaign which has been the most recognised campaign in the community for many years 

The community will take no more, it’s time for Mark to step down as the CEO and Manchester Pride to use his £80k+ p/a salary to fund LGBTQ+ causes rather than line Marks pockets. 

The time is NOW, we MUST stand together, we MUST support those campaigns which make real change, we need NEW DIRECTION and new leadership and start putting the pink pound back into the community.
