Piccadilly Basin Regeneration SRF Opposition Forum

The Issue

In sight of the planning strategy/application for offices and a multi story car park to be built on Piccadilly Basin car park, we raise concerns over the strategy around the whole site and impact that it will have on many fronts. It will significantly impact the peaceful and environmental aspects of the site, most worryingly the NQ grow boxes which bring a wonderful example of inner city nature and community. As well as seriously effecting the residents of the local buildings which provide house and home to a mixture of young professionals, families, artists, musicians and valued members of our health service. The impact on residential quality and value of living will be detrimental to the community and the Manchester way of life. The beautiful canal junction and gorgeous panoramic views of the pennines that are avaliable from the upper floors will become blocked and obscured. This petition is to show the numbers and worth of those concerned and will forum to oppose and suggest alternative ideas for the future of Piccadilly Basin..
