The Town of Mamou have facilities that can be beneficial for our Youth's growth, socially, educationally, as well as spiritually. For "nonProfit" organizations the cost for the buildings are outrageous. We are, the Vision Seekers of Evangeline Parish, a nonProfit community organization giving our time and money for the youth of this Parish. We have paid for the centers to host events which was added cost that should have been eliminated, due to the fact that the centers were built for our children. The schools' classes have to host events in the "hot" gyms, because THE KIDS raise the money for their events and can not afford the costs. Yet, our Town have buildings maintained by taxpayers, the parents of all these Kids! We need to use these facilities free of charge for OUR CHILDREN. There is nothing available for our kids and we're trying to provide educational, teaching and learning experiences in a friendly environment that will allow all to feel comfortable in coming out and participating! We need to work together as parents and community to provide programs for our children! Our Youth Matters... we would like our officials to help us Help our youth by allowing usage of these facilities with advanced reservations. We greatly appreciate our great city!
