10% Reservation for Upper Caste in West Bengal
0 have signed. Let’s get to 200!
The Govt of India has passed The 124th Constitution Amendment Bill, 2019 to provide 10% reservation to the Economically Backward Sections in January 2019. As per Govt. notification, it should be implemented in all the states in India from 1st Feb, 2019. Almost all the states have started providing the certificate for the same. The comepetitive examinations of Central Govt have also reservation for the Certificate Holders. However, our state, West Bengal has not started implementing it. We have contacted both SDO (Sub-Divisional Magistrate) Office as well as the office of District Magistrate, from where it was to be done. Every office is answering us that they do not have any circular regarding the same. In the meantime, Ministry of Railways, Food Corporation of India and many other such Departments of Central Govt have released recruitment notifications which include the vacancies reserved only for EWS (Economically Backward Sections) which we will not be able to apply for, since we do not have the Certificate. We would like to request our Hon'ble Chief Minister to take necessary steps to implement the bill with immediate effect, so that the economically backward candidates can benefit from it. Thank you.
