We would like your support to say NO to the housing development on the Old Allotments at Lower Howsell Road.

Some of the reasons we would like your support to tell the Council that in this form we do not support the development:

The proposed site entrance/ exit routes using Lower Howsell Road and Vandra Close are dangerous. (Developments have been rejected by Planning Committee's for the past 30 years for this reason. The only difference now is that the traffic on both entrances/exits has increased in both quantity and speed.)

Malvern Link is already struggling with traffic jams, queues and school run misery. (Adding to it approx. 300 cars without congestion relief and other urban development only makes things worse.)

There is no investment in local community services (schools, nurseries, GPs, congestion relief etc) in the plans. Without these key investments, the community that is already under pressure (due to the ongoing funding cuts) is going to be much worse off. We do not want that to happen.

Green Spaces in Malvern are already cut short. This field provides a beautiful meadow to all residents and it should be kept for recreational purposes. Children use the field a lot as well as walkers and dog walkers. The hedge and meadow is full with wildlife and provides natural habitat for many animals.

Therefore we ask you to please sign the petition to save the Old Allotments from development.
