So many Maldivians (students and tourists etc) have been stranded in Malaysia for almost 4 months experiencing financial difficulties and other problems. A second repatriation flight had been promised and since then it's been 3 months but till date, nothing has been done. Embassy officials say that they are waiting for the government to plan a flight and that they are negotiating but nothing has been done. We are frustrated and annoyed. We are suffering. Every other neighbouring country has had two repatriation flights except for us. We are tired of struggling. Please arrange a flight for us to come back home. Some of the students financial providers have lost their jobs in Maldives due to Covid and are struggling very badly. We tourists are stuck here paying unreasonable amounts of money to hotel rooms. All we ask is to go back home. Please arrange a flight for us. We demand for our rights.
