MALCOLM TURNBULL MUST RESIGN
The issue
To the Liberal Party and Liberal supporters and caring Australians everywhere:
The Liberal party just dont seem to get it. Malcolm Turnbull is toxic. And for him to cry foul about Mediscare when from 2009 to 2015 he undermined, backgrounded and ran a despicable smear campaign against Tony Abbott shows the shallowness of the man. Yes Mediscare was a lie, but so was his shameless 6 year campaign where he callously schemed for his own ambitions at the expense of our country. I am a conservative and yesterday was the first time in my life I have not voted LNP, and until Turnbull is gone wont be voting Liberal again. Malcolm is NOT a leader, he is a termite and 2nd July got a little bit of what he deserved. He failed to win the "unlosable:" referendum in 1999, failed again as opposition leader in 2009, and now this debacle. Sadly, I think the Liberal campaign was also very very poor. With so much to attack and make an argument against they completely failed. Malcolm Turnbull failed to attack Labor on the basic issues that Liberal supporters want to see prosecuted and I will list just some:
- The Labor/Green climate change policies that are going to drive up electricity prices for low income people and pensioners.
- The Dyson-Haydon Royal commission showed up grave corruption in the union movement, and whilst this was the reason for a double dissolution election, Malcolm Turnbull miserably failed to prosecute the case for even calling the election.
- There are serious flaws with the safe schools program, but Malcolm Turnbull will never address these issues.
- Although the whole election campaign was based on the premise of promoting "Jobs and Growth". no credible arguments were really promoted as to how to achieve those objectives. We had months of waffle on tax reform, but no credible plan for reform was ever produced, and never will be by this waffler.
- Being totally bereft of any policies of his own the only policies he had to run on were the solid achievements of the Abbott government. But we cannot for the sake of our country continue with a leader incapable of developing AND prosecuting any rational policies of his own.
- To stay in power I feel Malcolm Turnbull would sell out on what has been achieved to get people like Andrew Wilkie to support him.
The whole premise of Turnbull taking over as PM was that he could better promote the economic narrative for this country and that is something he has completely and miserably failed in. And it is now patently clear he is incapable of achieving this. There is no credible plan to restore the budget to surplus. He will likely put us in a position where our triple A credit rating is in jeopardy. As a lame duck PM who is incapable of mounting any rational economic arguments because of his lack of credibility he has to go for the good of the country. Malcolm Turnbull is incapable of listening to the people because he is quite sure he knows best, as shown by his demeanour and speeches since the election. Labor was right - this is a guy who is arrogantly out of touch with us, the voters, and considers it is us that got it so wrong, not him. For him to continue as PM would be a disaster for this country that we love so much. We the people need a LEADER, not a weasling self serving person that is only there to satisfy his own ego. If he stays he will consign the once great Liberal party to obscurity for years, and set our once great country on the course of economic and social ruin.
For the Liberal party, unless you get rid of Turnbull right out of your party you consign yourselves to division, to infighting and you are dragging yourselves down in the eyes of the electorate by supporting this grubby self serving politician. It is past time for you to start listening to and stop alienating your supporters.
For Malcolm Turnbull it is time to accept you were so wrong and for the good of Australia, just go. This will be very difficult because you are not serving for the good of Australia but for your own self interest.
