Road laws having now changed to allow Cyclists ride on roads and on footpaths.
It becomes quite a predicament when a cyclist breaks the road law, or does something dangerous or untoward around a motorist or footpath user, there is at present no way to identify them to aid in a report.
This petition demands that our state and federal governments understand that cyclists must have some form of registration on their bikes for such situations.
Cyclists should have to register their bike/s, they should have to have some form of insurance just like every other road user. We the undersigned demand that both state and federal governments bring about these sensible changes in the law to ensure accountability of ALL road users.
