Due to COVID travel restrictions many Malaysians who has families and loved one abroad have been feeling anxious waiting for borders to open. This has been very difficult times for many who are silently waiting in uncertainty and for the airline industry thats being effected.

The prolonged border closure has taken a toll on couples and families with members on either side who have been unable to see each other in person for months.

With no given timeline or plan from the goverment many of us are waiting in the dark. There are MANY families out there going through this and the government is just ignoring us. It has been devastating to be left without any idea when we will be allowed to see our loved ones again.

Putting family reunification in the non-essential or discretionary category with tourism, recreation and entertainment is appalling. For the sake of benevolence and empathy, and for the well-being of those of us who are suffering under these circumstances, allowances should be made to safely reunite partners and families who are currently separated indefinitely.

This petition is pressure the current goverment to start prioritizing this and notice the urgency in it so we can be reunited again.
