As a nation, we need to follow suit as other countries have and take precautions in fighting COVID-19. 

We're asking the Malawi Government to make changes NOW and in signing this petition;

1.  We want our borders closed NOW, before the Virus reaches our nation. Neighboring countries that are only a flight away are affected and it won't take much for the Virus to reach Malawi. For anyone entering the country, THOROUGH screening and testing must be done. 
2.  Restrict public gatherings.
3. Civic educate the mass through constant advertisement on television, radio, newspapers, etc. Educating people on WHAT the Virus is, WHO is most vulnerable, the places WHERE it has affected and most importantly stressing the importance of staying hygienic CONSTANTLY.

The Malawi Government holds the paramount power in order to implement these changes and we need them to do so now, before it's too late. Given the current global situation, NOTHING should stand in front of implementing these changes because at this point our health as civilians should be the countries NUMBER ONE focus, and nothing else. This virus is TOO BIG for our nations health system and it is up to us to alleviate the stress it could potentially have on our families, communities and hospitals by acting NOW.
