Over 500 million straws are used in the USA alone. There are many effects that plastic straws have on marine life for example in Costa Rica a endangered species of sea turtle was found with a plastic straw stuck in its air way blocking its ability to breathe.   I believe if we ban the use of plastic straws at Starbucks it will drastically improve the environment as a whole.  Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this.
