Today we had an interview with BBC Look North to discuss where Terri's Fight - Clare’s Law is going and how far we are.
Explaining who we have spoken to so far, what we have achieved so far and what we are wanting to do in the future.
We also heard feedback from our interview from the Home Office which said “They have updated guidance for Clare’s Law, police can disclose information most suitable to safeguard the potential victim and the person potentially at risk should only be contacted when safe to do so.”
We heard this information on our last meeting with them, we also heard that they have updated the form and made sure that all police forces have the same form throughout England and Wales. We have since spoken to some police forces, who didn’t know about the form updates.
We are so pleased that the Home Office have listen to us and made changes and we did express that when speaking to them, however, we still need to make sure that it works and that’s fit for purpose and that’s why we did the interview. Firstly, to get people to know about Clare’s Law and secondly, to make sure everything we have put in place is still going in the right direction.
Thank you for the support you have all given us. We still have a way to go.
