The Issue

On Tuesday, July 28, 2026, members of the Ahwatukee Community Alliance spoke at our HOA Open Meeting to discuss concerns surrounding the proposed data center at 48th Street and Thistle Landing.

The Ahwatukee Community Alliance Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to ensuring our community has access to accurate information, meaningful participation, and a strong voice in decisions that affect our neighborhoods. The Alliance is working to protect Ahwatukee’s health, natural resources, infrastructure, and future.

Residents throughout the area have expressed concerns about the potential impact a large-scale data center could have on our community, including increased demand on water and electricity, noise, infrastructure impacts, and the long-term effects on surrounding neighborhoods.

Our HOA Board believes it is important that Forty Eight East residents have an opportunity to learn more about the proposed development and make their voices heard. We encourage every homeowner to take a few minutes to learn more about the issue and, if you share these concerns, add your name to the petition opposing the proposed data center.

The strength of our community comes from residents staying informed, getting involved, and making their voices heard on decisions that could affect where we live. We encourage every homeowner to take a few minutes to review the information and participate.

Thank you,
Forty Eight East HOA
