When you go to report a post on Facebook, it gives you multiple options on what to report a post for.

One of those options being Animal Abuse.

You'd think Facebook would take animal abuse seriously right?

TikTok really takes animal abuse seriously, to a point they even restrict or even ban breeders. And they focus on all animals.

Sadly Facebook in all reality doesn't take animal abuse seriously. They say they don't allow staged animal fights or anyone intentionally hurting an animal.

But then they turn around and say "We allow hunting, religious sacrifice, food preparation, pest control, and self defense".

You'd think only a few animals fall under that category. But it only takes a few words in a caption for Facebook to completely miss the abuse.

There have been so many nasty posts and comments of people showing off torturing animals from watching mice struggling to breathe in illegal glue traps to hunting down and shooting cats and dogs owned by other people.

You can kill a parrot and say it's for food. You can throw a live dog into a dumpster and say it was for self defense. You can even advertise to sell exotic animals illegally and not get flagged for it.

Facebook has such loose policies on animal abuse that it's almost like they don't care...

We need to urge Facebook to strengthen their policies against animal cruelty!
