I am a resident of Yarraville, a charming suburb that prides itself on its unique character, close-knit community, and vibrant local businesses. But our beloved neighborhood is at a crossroads, literally. The proposed removal of the Yarraville level crossing is a project that, while necessary for safety and efficiency, threatens the heart of our community by potentially demolishing homes and small businesses that are integral to our local identity.

The Yarraville level crossing is a known bottleneck, causing frustration and delays for motorists and pedestrians alike. However, the plans put forth to remove it have not adequately considered the impact on our neighborhood's fabric. It's crucial that the voices of Yarraville's residents are heard and respected in the decision-making process. We need solutions that enhance safety without sacrificing the community's well-being.
