🚨 WESTALL STREET ROAD SAFETY – WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🚨

To everyone living on Westall Street and the surrounding area — please take a moment to read this and, if you agree, sign and share our petition. ❤️

We have children, families, pedestrians and lots of animals living around here, yet some vehicles are travelling through the area at incredibly dangerous speeds.

💔 Sadly the lives of quite a few  cats have been taken in just THREE MONTHS one of them being a 4 month old kitten. And sadly my best friend/ next door neighbors cat was killed outside of our houses.  

This is heartbreaking, but it is also a serious warning that something needs to change.

We are extremely worried that it is only a matter of time before a child is seriously injured if vehicles continue travelling at these speeds.

We are asking Wokingham Borough Council to urgently:

🚗 Carry out a traffic-speed survey
⚠️ Carry out a road-safety assessment
🛑 Consider speed bumps and other traffic-calming measures
🚸 Consider introducing a 20mph speed limit
📍 Consider additional signage and other measures to make the area safer

We are not trying to stop people using the road. We simply want people to slow down and for our residential streets to be safe for the children, pedestrians and animals who live here.

We shouldn’t have to wait for a child to be seriously hurt before something is done.
