Nothing is better than relaxing weekend after a week of school. You have time for activities that you may not have time for during the weeks. What if you could have more time? You could have this extra time if we made the school week four days.

It is always a joy when I have a day off and I know that is true for others. It gives me more time to socialize with my friends, play outside, ride my bike, and most importantly spend time with my family. However, there are other reasons that a day off is important. It gives teachers more time to plan lessons which in return enrich the material being taught in the classroom. It also allows for more time to study the material being taught.

Not only will an extra day off give more freetime for students and teachers, it will save costs with bussing. Instead of having to pay for busses 5 times a week, it will only be 4 times a week. Also, less money would be used on costs for water. Since students and teacher will have already used the bathroom or used a water fountain earlier, it would be less likely they would need to again.

You may have questions about a "loss" of time that could be used to educate students. The time that would be taken away would be added on to the end of each remaining day. This would ensure that students would learn the same amount of material as in a five day week.
