Dear supporters,

Thanks to your powerful voices, Ventura’s CARE Resolution passed 6–1! 🙌 This victory (see news coverage: https://keyt.com/news/local-politics/2025/06/26/ventura-city-council-passes-care-policy-in-a-6-to-1-vote/) sends a clear message: we can take local action to protect our communities from federal overreach.

Now it’s Ojai’s turn — and we need your support again.

🌈✊🏽 CALL TO ACTION – TUESDAY, JULY 8TH ✊🏽🌈
Ojai City Council is voting on the Ojai Values Act – their version of Ventura's CARE policy.

This is a non-compliance resolution designed to shield immigrant families, LGBTQ+ residents, and reproductive freedoms from unjust federal targeting.

📍 Location: Ojai City Hall – 111 Santa Ana St
🕔 Arrive by 5PM for free Qigong & watercoloring, and to sign up early for public comment
🕕 Meeting starts promptly at 6PM

💬 The resolution, co-authored by Mayor Pro Tem Rachel Lang and Council Member Leslie Rule, is gaining momentum — and with Oxnard preparing next, this is how we build county-wide protection.

In solidarity,
