Dear Supporters,
The Ventura CARE Policy is going before City Council for a vote on Tuesday, March 18th, and opposition is mobilizing. We need every supporter in the room.
At the Rules Committee meeting, opponents showed up to speak against the policy, and we expect even more at City Council. If we want to see Ventura stand for LGBTQ+ protections, reproductive rights, and immigrant safety, we must show up in force to make our voices heard.
📢 How You Can Help:
✅ Attend the City Council Meeting – Your presence will help counter opposition and show overwhelming community support.
✅ Speak in Public Comment – You will have 2 minutes to explain why this policy is needed.
✅ Bring Allies – The more supporters we have in the room, the stronger our message.

📜 Ventura CARE Policy Draft: Read the Policy
Why This Matters More Than Ever
The Ventura CARE Policy will ensure our city does not cooperate with external enforcement targeting transgender individuals, reproductive healthcare, and immigrant rights. With federal and state-level attacks ramping up, this policy is essential.
Opponents will be there, but they cannot outnumber us. Other cities have passed similar protections. Ventura can and must do the same.
🔔 Stay Tuned for Updates
The final agenda has not been released yet. Once it is published, I will send an update with the exact agenda item number and estimated time for public comment.
We have come too far to let this fail. Let’s pack the room, drown out the opposition, and make Ventura a leader in protection and inclusion.
See you at City Hall!
In solidarity,
Michelle Rosenblum
