Make Tim Hortons local again — Remove foreign ownership!

Make Tim Hortons local again — Remove foreign ownership!
The Issue
With a trade war on the horizon and the sentiment of Canada relying on itself, we need to bring our proud Canadian coffeehouse back into Canadian hands!
In May 1964, Jim Charade opened the first franchise in Hamilton, Ontario.
In 1995, Wendy’s (American fast-food chain) bought Tim Hortons in a partnership that lasted until 2006.
In 2014, the chain was again purchased by a foreign company, 3G Capital (Brazilian firm known for its ownership of Burger King).
Just as Canada cannot be bought, we can’t let our Canadian businesses and companies get bought!
Lets bring Tim Hortons back to Canada, where we can make sure the profits stay within our borders to boost our own economy!
