For too long, the Statue of Liberty in New York, New York, located in the United States of America, has been an ugly, stale, mildewy green color. Sure, green is the color of money, but it is also the color of racism. Now, as a symbol of our wealth and prosperity as a nation, I ask fellow Americans (both legally and spiritually) to join me in advocating for the Statue of Liberty to be coated in gold. The Greeks used gold as a status symbol, so why can't we? Are we not the Land of the Free? Covering our divine statue in gold will mean that when the sun hits it, a bright light will reflect and cover the entire globe, which will not only bring America much needed attention, but it will also give light to orphans who don't have any. Do you not care about orphans? Have you no sympathy for North Korea? Our politicians, who we have elected into office, seem to be more concerned with keeping our tax money for other unimportant things and have left our iconic statue to rot. The time is now. Let our voices be heard. Please sign this petition to cover our beloved Statue of Liberty in gold.
