At yesterday's council meeting, the city attorney and council pointed out multiple legal problems with the petitions. Legal review continues and we'll update you as we have more information. THANK YOU to all those who wrote to council - many of them referenced your emails. Your voice makes a difference!

In the meantime, the group behind the petitions still will not acknowledge that you should be able to decide who you live with and where, whether or not you are part of a "single family." The group is still running candidates for council seats who are willing to limit your rights and who support the measures in the petitions. 

City council pointed out larger issues with the group's impact on city policy, as well as the difficulty the council has faced in trying to address skyrocketing prices in Prairie Village
