Please help to right the wrongs of our outdated traditions. It is time we re-examine "Americas Team" in the NFL. Whilst the Dallas Cowboys have held the title since 1978, I believe there is strong reasoning this term should fall to the Philadelphia Eagles franchise. For starters, The United States shares the same power and prowess projecting mascot as the Eagles organization. Secondly, Philadelphia was the crucible in which our founding fathers forged this great democracy. In 1682 it was the first city in America to guarantee religious freedom. later in the 1800's it gave birth to the American revolution.  Furthermore, the United States is a nation of winners. For the past decade the Dallas cowboys have underperformed while the United States has remained the worlds leading superpower. Hence associating the cowboys with "americas team" doesn't seem to be keeping with the American spirit. Americas team should embody the United State's identify of blue collar, hard-working, proud, freedom loving, get it done American citizens. I can think of few cities in this great nation that better represents that Ideology than that of Philadelphia. A quarter of the U.S population lives within a 5 hour drive of Philadelphia. Finally, they have god damn cheese steaks. what is more American than that. Please sign and show your support for Americas true team.
