Petition Status

I would like to thank everyone who has supported this petition. It has been submitted to the town of Qualicum Beach, the mayor, and all active council members. I have received confirmation this petition "has been circulated to Council and the appropriate staff, it will also be included on the November 18th, 2026 Correspondence Log”.  I met with a local resident who went on record with a similar petition back in 2018, she collected 261 signatures and received a disappointing response from the town. This has been a longstanding issue--we are now collaborating with each other and sharing our compiled information. We have spoken with mayoral elect, Adam Walker, who has also witnessed the problems along this highway. Mr. Walker has agreed to meet with us to continue a discussion on what can be done, should he be elected mayor. The All Candidates Meeting is open to the public, and is going to be held at 7:00 p.m Sept. 22nd and 5:00 p.m Oct. 5th at the Qualicum Beach Civic Centre. We encourage you to attend and hear what each candidate plans to bring to the table, and cast your vote. Advanced voting takes place Oct. 7th & 14th, and general voting day is Oct. 17th. After elections are held, we will pursue a meeting with the town with an updated list of petition signatures. Again, thank you for your support!
