I have recently begun doing the English Literature A level and I am already sick and tired of studying King Lear, it is an archaic, overrated painfully drab piece of history, that should remain in the past. In my opinion King Lear should be replaced by the much more modern masterpiece known as the Gruffalo. The Gruffalo is written by a modern visionary known as "Julia Donaldson" who has written many powerful stories, such as: "The Sneds and The Snoods" and "The Highway Rat" all of her works deliver powerful messages that must be studied in depth by students worldwide.
