The Greenville County Animal Care Shelter in Greenville South Carolina claims to be a No-Kill shelter, but upon further investigation is lying. The shelter actually puts down unwanted animals. We would like to have this shelter not just change their false advertising, but also become a No-Kill shelter. The reasoning behind this is that many people have surrendered pets here thinking it was a No-Kill shelter but was wrong, despite their advertising. While nothing will completely fix this injustice this would be a step in the right direction. Shelters will argue that without putting animals down they would be over crowded. While we understand the importance of space, expanding facilities for small sums of money can benefit animal lives greatly. There are also organizations that will spread out dogs from full No-Kill shelters. Please make a effort to do what’s right for these innocent animals. They cannot talk for themselves so we must act in there best interest. Thank you,
