Southampton Council plans to build a bike Pump Track and Skate Park in the Outdoor Sports Centre (OSC) near Southampton Bike Park which is great news.

The risk is that they will build a set of small, individual areas that are no better than others around the city. We must make this an exceptional venue capable of hosting national and international events as well as catering for all levels of users. This will build on the amazing success of the Southampton Bike Park and really turn the OSC into a target destination.

This is about to go into the final design stages so we must act now.

Sign this petition to ensure that the Pump Track / Skate Park in the Outdoors Sports Centre includes a pump track circuit suitable for hosting national and international competitions - 200m or more in length. The skate park and pump track areas should be integrated for best use of space but with areas specific to the different users. There should be training zones within this area.
