Thanks to the 44K+ who signed the petition to help those in Australia with aHUS who are on dialysis and have no access to the life-saving drug Soliris. Now the Australian government wants to experiment by forcing patients with the disease aHUS who have been receiving the life-saving drug Soliris for the last 2 years, to stop this medication in December 2016. They want to experiment and see if this causes a relapse that could cause kidney failure, other major organ failure, or even death. Atypical hemolytic-uremic syndrome (aHUS), is a genetic, chronic, life-threatening blood disease that has no cure. Stopping medication arbitrarily after 2 years makes no medical sense. The decision to stop should be made by the doctor along with the patient, not the government!
