For avid sim racers, iRacing is more than a platform. It’s an arena where skill meets passion. But this beloved staple in the iRacing community has seen dwindling participation. Races are going official less and less often.

This decline hits home for me. The Skip Barber Race Series is where I cut my teeth. I started in the series because of it's reputation. The ideal car for beginners. Then the high intensity races kept me coming back for more. But these once energetic sessions are now a rarity. The primary barrier? The cost associated with acquiring the Skip Barber Formula 2000 car.

The solution is simple and pragmatic: make the Skip Barber Formula 2000 car free content. The series' once-thriving community needs this change. A breath of life, to foster participation.

More participation here could lead to track purchases. It could lead to rookie drivers learning on this classic 'teacher' car, and moving on to other series. There they may buy yet more content. It is a win-win for both community and company.
