Honestly, showing yearbook photos of students is quite harmful to mental health, many students can relate to this. After their old yearbook photo is shown in a seating chart, or something along those lines, they go home wondering "Is someone going to make fun of me?" This is horrible, it can cause distress, and other physiological issues. Going as far as some students sitting in the back, not interacting with the learning environment, or skipping the class entirely. 

    I aim to change this issue in schools across the CMS District, with a rule being implemented to stop showing old yearbook photos. Sure, to teachers, or staff, it seems like a small thing, which won't cause any harm at all. But frankly, they're wrong. They believe it will increase effectiveness in seating charts, once again, they are wrong.

    I, myself, saw this happen, in my last period at the school I attend, a teacher had a new seating chart with our old yearbook photos. "Simple enough, right?" No, entirely wrong, instead of noticing the faces more easily, the students were moving the Promethean Board, getting it off of the seating chart screen, ignoring the teacher, who said that they would get a signature (Our schools version of punishment), a student who asked to remain anonymous, said, "I don't care if I get one [ a signature] at least my face is off of the screen."

    Student want change, so be the person who helps, be the person who helps student pay attention, and focus, rather than being scared that one of their yearbook photos were shown.
