This petition is meant to fortify schools with secure locking systems, and bullet proof glass/metal doors and windows, and where clearance from approval by office staff were to let people in; clearance would be done via security scan recognition.  To help keep our schools safe, this is what should be done.  

  There would need to be funding that would have to be given through the support by those who want safety at schools.  Schools would basically have to become as secure as security checkpoints in a prison facility are, but schools would remain as schools, not prison facilities.  Just schools with better protection.  It would be to further safeguard our schools.  And recess monitors who check on students during recess would need to have police training well enough to keep students safe, even before school when students are arriving and after school for when students are leaving to head home.  There even would have to be security checkpoints at schools to detect possible weaponry trying to be smuggled into the schools; there some schools in some areas who have something like this already.  It might sound like a plan that would not work out, but it’s something needed now more today than it’s ever had been needed in the past.  There’s violence going on more often at schools than there were before in previous times, and it’s gotten more and more common since Columbine.  The petition would require all doors to be locked preventing people from going into the buildings at all times during school hours when doors are not in use, and the doors would only be allowed by clearance to let people into the buildings.  

  To get this plan rolling for schools, it would be in a donation service those willing to pitch in the support.  Also, it may not prevent them bringing guns to school, but it would heighten the security greater and to alerting police once someone has one the security checkpoints detect them.  

  Also, the school in Texas and all other schools would require to have their doors locked at all times where nobody can get into the buildings, except for when clearance has given approval, or the schools could be charged with a fine of negligence.  Plus, the doors and windows would also need to be bullet proof, in case someone tried to shoot their way in.  It would also send an alert signal back police HQ, FBI and even the military closest by to the location, if a bullet was shot and tried causing structural damage, or even did.    The police, FBI and military would be required to be prepped and ready to act without any delay, and get to the location ASAP!  The police, FBI or military should have access to get inside in case needed to in such events as well, once they arrive.  During such attacks, if a shooter somehow manages to break in, doors should remain unlocked and only able to be accessed by those who control them via passwords and by other subtle methods and even more secure measures in any way in which an attacker wouldn’t be able to gain access and lock himself/herself inside with the victims.  After the attack has ended, and the attacker somehow still managed to break in, then it should be investigated as to how they managed to break and see what can further prevent such break ins in such a way.  

  This petition is to also require police and FBI to have back up gear in each police vehicle for each officer occupying the vehicle(s) so they can be prepped and ready to act once arrived.  If there was a school shooting, the law enforcement, FBI and whoever else would also be required to act IMMEDIATELY and not wait while there is an active shooting going on, as there is a rumor going around that waiting around is what the police, FBI and military did, in the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas.  Because of this, the gunman was said to have been in the school from 11:45 AM to 1:05 PM before the police finally shot him down.  The police did shoot him down, but people have said the police weren’t doing anything to stop the gunman at first, because they “weren’t ready, and were waiting for more back up to arrive” or waiting for orders.  The result: 21 people were killed, which included 19 students and 2 teachers!  

  This is a plan that would take time to get going, but it’s worth it vs not getting things rolling at all.  There have been way too many shootings in the past number of years.  Even one is too much.  Maybe stricter gun laws could help too to a point, but they probably won’t do much if crazy people can still get their hands on weapons illegally.  This is probably a better solution.  

   It’s time we do something about it by making our schools safer, as they seem to be the more common targets in these attacks.  Sign this petition if you agree to it, and if you believe that not only should this become required, but that a donation system should be set up to help fund this plan!
