Every day at Samford University's Northeast Parking Deck, students face a precarious situation that doesn't need to be. As a student, I have witnessed firsthand and been part of near-collisions due to the current two-way traffic system. The parking deck is simply too narrow for two lanes of traffic, and illegal parking further obstructs visibility, making an already challenging parking situation dangerous for students rushing to their classes.

We call upon the administration of Samford University to take immediate action by converting the Northeast Parking Deck to a one-way traffic system. Given the current parking situation across campus, this change is the least Samford can do to accommodate students and make parking less of a hassle. This change will ensure safer conditions for all students, staff, and visitors using the facilities.
