In the UK alone, it is estimated that over 230,000 cats are killed on roads each year (Source: Cats Protection). This staggering number underscores not only the scale of this problem but also the immense emotional distress inflicted upon countless cat owners. We believe that making it legally mandatory to report any traffic accidents involving cats will help bring closure to affected families and potentially save lives by ensuring injured cats receive timely medical attention.

We urge lawmakers to recognize this issue and enact legislation making it obligatory for any driver involved in an accident with a cat to report it immediately.
