Make Pints A Fiver Again

The Issue

Over the last few years, the price of a pint has crept up and up. What was once a simple pleasure for the people has now become a luxury. In many pubs, especially in our cities, paying €7 or €8 for a pint has sadly become normal.

But a creamy pint should be affordable for everyone – students, workers, locals, tourists, and regulars alike. The pub is the beating heart of Irish social life, and it’s slipping out of reach for ordinary people.

We’re calling on publicans, breweries, and industry leaders to bring the price of a pint back to a fair fiver. It’s not just about money – it’s about protecting our culture, our social fabric, and our right to enjoy one of Ireland’s great traditions without breaking the bank.
