Every day, families, children, longtime residents, summer renters, and local workers cross Noyack Road at Pine Neck Avenue to reach small businesses like Noyack Delicatessen, MJ Dowlings, Noyac Liquors, Nancy's Tailoring & Alterations, Cappelletti's and others.

But there is no marked crosswalk or sidewalk connection, and cars often speed by without slowing down, even when people are waiting to cross.

Children ride bikes across this busy road.
Construction workers park nearby and dart across just to grab a sandwich.
Parents with strollers, kids, and neighbors use this crossing daily.
This is a serious safety risk and an accident waiting to happen.

We are calling on the Town of Southampton and Suffolk County officials to take action by:

Installing a clearly marked pedestrian crosswalk at Pine Neck Ave & Noyac Rd.
Extending the sidewalk infrastructure for safe access.
Adding traffic-calming measures (signage or flashing pedestrian lights) to reduce speeding.
By making this simple but critical improvement, officials can protect our children, support local businesses, and connect our community safely.
