Phone pick-up currently takes 30–40 minutes, and after school it can take even longer. Students with jobs, after-school plans, or emergencies often wait far too long.

Current problems:

After school, each grade has two rooms, but only one teacher per room handing out phones

Teachers have to check every tag individually, slowing lines, especially when students try to cut ahead
Students aren’t sure which line or room to go to, causing confusion and delays

Our solution:
Move phone pick-up to the gym to give more space for lines and organization

Separate lines by grade (9th, 10–11th, 12th) and optionally split by last name if needed
Assign a few teachers or staff per grade to hand out phones so lines move faster and students always know where to go

Controlled express lane for students with jobs, emergencies, or buses:

Students sign up or get a verification slip in the morning
Only verified students use the express lane, supervised by staff

Backup plan if an assigned teacher is absent

This setup will make phone pick-up faster, fairer, and more organized for everyone.
