Dear All,

I would like to thank you all for the tremendous support you have given us in obtaining planning for the change of use of Danetree House in Odiham.

After years of intense battling with Hart District Council, they have finally realised that the listed building was better conserved with a residential use.

We would like to thank all our team of experts , Sarah from Roger Mears Architect, Lisa from phase2planning, Tim Miles and Roger Bowdler from Montagu Evans and Richard Hardwood from 39Essex Chambers.

We also had tremendous support from Matilda Harden from the Georgian group, and some elected Councillors, a particular thank you to Councillor Makepeace- Brown, Councillor Neighbour and Jeremy Hunt MP.

Our biggest thanks are going to all our neighbours and Odiham residents for putting up for so long with the blighted sight.

We are looking at starting the work very shortly pending on Hart Decision and timing for the lifting of conditions. Hart is fully aware that the building is at risk and water ingress is deteriorating the fabric, so we sincerely hope they will put in the extra effort in order to allow the work to start soon.

We must say it has been a painful and expensive journey and consequently have decided to embark on a campaign for residents to be respectfully heard and treated by elected representatives and civil servants and to make sure public funds are used wisely.
