The Issue

Attention all Hyundai vehicle owners with BlueLink affected by the 2G/3G Telecommunications Discontinuation PLEASE READ MY PETITION AND SUPPORT ME IN MY FIGHT TO GET  THINGS MADE RIGHT FOR US THE CONSUMER

What vehicles are impacted?

2G Sunset (Will no Longer be Active): All 2012-2014 Bluelink equipped vehicles, 2015 Bluelink equipped vehicles (except Sonata with Navigation and Hyundai Genesis), and 2016 Bluelink equipped Santa Fe, Equus, Elantra, Elantra GT, Veloster (Non-Navigation), and Sonata Hybrid vehicles.

3G Sunset (Will no Longer be Active): 2015 Sonata, Azera; 2016 Azera, Santa Fe Sport, Elantra GT, Sonata, Sonata Hybrid, Sonata PHEV, Tucson, Veloster; 2017 IONIQ Electric, Veloster, Sonata PHEV, Santa Fe, Elantra GT, Elantra, Azera, Santa Fe Sport and 2018 Sonata, Santa Fe Sport, Santa Fe, IONIQ PHEV, Elantra GT.

SVLTE Vehicles (Requires Software Update to Remain Active): Certain 2015-2019 model year Accent, Azera, Elantra, Elantra GT, IONIQ Electric, IONIQ PHEV, Santa Fe, Santa Fe Sport, Santa Fe XL, Sonata, Sonata Hybrid, Sonata PHEV, Tucson, Veloster.

What Bluelink features are impacted?
All Hyundai Bluelink services will deactivate, including safety and security features such as: Automatic Crash Notification (ACN), SOS Emergency Assistance, Road Side Assistance, and Stolen Vehicle Tracking in vehicles unable to receive the software update. For vehicles able to receive the update, these service will de-activate unless the update is completed before the end of 2022.

Why is this important to me ?
This is important to me as well as many other owners of Hyundai as BlueLink was a MAJOR selling point to our cars mine included which is a 2015 Hyundai Elantra Limited. Discontinuation if these services have decreased the values of many Hyundai owners vehicles as well as removed a major selling point to many of our cars

What can be done?
Many things can be done for instance              1. Remanufacturing BlueLink modules for older vehicles that would be compatible with the newer servers that the newer vehicles are using.
2. Recalling affected models and providing a service to replace modules with a newer version for all affected vehicles.
3. Offering updated modules to everyone affected  at a cost wether it be Full,Reduced or Free and allowing the consumer to decide if they wish to proceed with the service to get an updated module.
4. Adjusting modules that are made for newer models to become backwards compatible with older model cars for Free or at a cost.

Sign this petition to show Hyundai you are angered by their lack of care to their customers and not providing any fix to this issue.
And sign this petition because Hyundai intentionally used outdated technology in many vehicles even when there was technology available to them to make this issue avoidable!

I would like to say thank you to anyone who signs this petition or comments on this petition and hope we can make Hyundai offer us something for our troubles and fix our BlueLink in all affected vehicles wether it be paid or free any fix is better than no fix and the way they are handling this is outrageous!

My petition goal ?
My goal is to make Hyundai realize that BlueLink is just as important in older cars affected by the discontinuation of 2G/3G telecommunications services and that this problem must be rectified. Hyundai continued to use older technology in vehicles despite there being new technologies available to them.
