I am a 29-year-old person with a life-limiting condition, making it near impossible to move without my Motability wheelchair-accessible vehicle. This vehicle is not a leisure, it's my only way to experience life outside the confines of my home. Sadly, the PIP payment I receive is insufficient to cover the £20,000 down payment required for such a necessary transportation means. 

The situation is not unique to me; countless others live with similar challenges. They, too, are dependent on adapted vehicles to sustain a semblance of normality in life. Unfortunately, the current structure of the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) fails to cover these exorbitant costs.
