Hearing aids are nothing to be ashamed of and many of us are not ashamed of our devices. We feel no need to hide them and some even find it helpful for strangers to immediately see that we are hearing impaired. The uncanny valley flesh tones do not help.

As someone put it, they don't wear skin colored glasses.

If patients want a flesh tone, they should be able to get that, but we should also be able to get bright colors. We would also like colors like dark blue on lines that they are not currently available on. Black and silver are not enough, we deserve options.
