I’ve been meaning to update this for a long time, but this year has been so crazy I haven’t been able to. It’s insane to think that over 2,050 of you guys have signed this petition to try to get another season of Milo Murphy’s Law! I’m still hopeful that we can eventually can enough signatures for Disney to actually notice and renew the show. Please share this petition with as many people as possible, post it literally everywhere, do whatever you can to get more signatures. I think we should try to get to 5,000 signatures for right now. I’m not able to set the signatures goal, so it’s still gonna say 2,500 until we get that many and then it’ll go up to whatever the next amount is. But I already know that we’re gonna need more than 2,500 so I’m just gonna say that our current goal is 5,000. Thank you for all of the support so far, but we’re gonna need a lot more to actually get Disney’s attention. At one point it seemed like we would never even get 25 signatures, so if we can get over 2,050 I think we can get to 5,000.
Also, a lot has happened since my last update over a year ago. There was a new Phineas and Ferb movie, which almost had a Milo cameo, but did have some other MML characters show up, like Trucker Ted and Recurring Raccoon. Then Dan Povenmire (co-creator of P&F and MML) pitched a new Disney show, Hamster and Gretel, which they have recently started writing. That doesn’t necessarily mean that MML is canceled, because Dan told Disney he could work on more than one show at a time. So he could still make his new show and also make another season of MML, if Disney greenlights season 3. There will always be a possibility for MML to continue, because Disney hasn’t officially said anything about it being canceled. Which reminds me of the other big event that happened with Disney TVA, DuckTales is ending. That was like Disney’s most popular show since Phineas and Ferb. And there’s a lot of confusion about if the show got canceled or if the creators chose to end the show. It really seems like they had this planned out all along, but they also said they had a lot of ideas for more episodes. Disney could’ve greenlit season 4 if they wanted to, but they didn’t. Was it because the show wasn’t getting enough views? Was it because they just have a limit on how long their shows can be? Did the executives see the season 3 finale and decide it would be a good end for the show, because they didn’t want the show to go on for too long and end up turning bad like Spongebob? We don’t know.
Anyway, some people created petitions to try to get a 4th season of DuckTales because they don’t want the show to end and most people think that this was not the creators’ decision. And of course, those petitions have way more signatures than this one, because DuckTales is so much more popular than Milo Murphy’s Law. One of the petitions already has over 14,000 signatures. Personally, I think it’s unfair that any other show can get thousands and thousands of signatures more than this one, when those shows don’t even need more seasons. There’s a petition for season 3 of Gravity Falls with over 9,000 signatures even though Alex Hirsch said years ago that he will never make season 3, and there’s even a petition to bring back Star vs. The Forces of Evil with over 152,000 signatures and multiple other petitions for that same show that each have thousands of signatures including one with over 30,000 signatures and another one with over 15,000 signatures. It just doesn’t make any sense to me that 152 thousand people support bringing that show back when it really doesn’t need to come back because they already got 4 seasons and an official series finale. But when there’s a show like Milo Murphy’s Law that only gets 2 seasons and doesn’t even get to have a satisfying finale, barely anybody cares about trying to get another season. This petition even has over 20,000 views but only 2,000 signatures. 18,000 people looked at the petition and purposefully decided not to sign it. Probably because they think that petitions never work. But if every single person that had viewed this petition had also signed it, we would be a lot closer to getting Disney’s attention. This has gotten kinda off-topic, but my point is that DuckTales has quickly gained a lot of signatures and soon it could end up like Star with over 150 thousand signatures for a show that doesn’t really need another season. So, if you see anyone talking about wanting to bring back Star tell them to come sign this petition instead. And also if you know any MML fans who refuse to sign this petition because they are absolutely convinced that it will never work, tell them that it would work if they signed it because then we would get a lot more signatures.
