When we wash cloths made with synthetic fibers, tiny fibers called microplastics are released into the water. The plastics are too small to be filtered my traditional water treatment plants so they end up in our waters; harming marine life and entering the food chain. 

We need to protect our oceans and wildlife. Microplastics have been found stomachs of fish, birds, and other wildlife. These plastics could cause blockages, malnutrition and unfortunately, even death. By installing these filters, we can reduce the flow of microplastics into our waters.

Microplastics could be harmful to humans. We have started to find microplastics in the air we breath, the water we drink, and the food we eat. Studies show that if we consume microplastics daily, they may have long-term health effects. We believe that the plastics could be linked to cancer, hormone disruption, and other serious health issues. Reducing microplastic pollution could help prevent these issues.

Installing microplastics filter provide a simple, cheap solution. These filters capture the microplastics at the source and prevent them from reaching our waterways. This technology already exist and this rule is already been implemented in countries like France.
