This is important because of the death of a Pit Bull, Angel, that died because they did not respond to a call that came in that two dogs were on the loose. The second reason, it took over 14 hours for them to remove the deceased dog and pick up the live dog as he nestled his companion. The sanitiation department picks up the deceased dogs, and there was nothing they could do for her, but animal control should have picked up the live dog sooner and not 14 hours later. If this delay was due to not enough funding, than local and state governments need to give them more funding so this never happens again.
